STORMZONE Completes Pre-Production For New Album
July 21, 2008Irish band STORMZONE has just completed pre-production for the follow-up to 2007's "Caught in the Act". Entitled "The Secret Gateway", the new CD will be recorded in August and is tentatively due this fall.
In other news, the band has been invited to play at the Lorca Rock festival in Murcia, Spain on July 25-26. The festival also features W.A.S.P., MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, HELLOWEEN, WHITE LION, APOCALYPTICA and NIGHTWISH, among many others. STORMZONE will play a 30-minute set between headliners on Friday, July 25 and two 40-minute sets on Saturday, July 26 — one in the afternoon and then again between headliners Saturday night. All sets will be played on a stage separate from the main stage but within the main Lorca Rock arena.
STORMZONE drummer Davy Bates, the original SWEET SAVAGE skinsman who recently played the Sweden Rock Festival with the reunited legendary NWOBHM outfit, has decided to decline SWEET SAVAGE's offer of further shows in Germany and Ireland to concentrate solely on his commitments to STORMZONE.
